We have two 12-month temporary opportunities for People & Culture Partners to join a team of seasoned human resources professionals.
Are you an intermediate or senior human resources generalist who is a proven relationship builder committed to a high level of customer service? Do you have experience in labour relations, disability management, job design, change management, and workforce planning?
In the role focusing on Business Operations, you'll provide consulting and advisory services to a client group and support an organization that is passionate about the health and safety of workplaces across the province.
Are you passionate about driving strategic initiatives that shape organizational success? Do you want to lead transformative projects that impact our workforce and culture, to drive change and achieve our business goals?
In the role focusing Busines Initiatives, you'll collaborate closely with client areas, leveraging HR knowledge and project management skills to deliver impactful initiatives. From workforce planning to leadership development, you'll apply a range of people and culture practices to drive success across departments and divisions. You will play a critical role in fostering strong relationships by working closely with stakeholders to find innovative solutions.

- Labour relations and Performance development and coaching
- Leadership development and succession planning
- Disability management
- Programs/initiatives and HR policies
- Job design, Change and transition management
- Lead projects specific to people and culture components of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Drive change management efforts, fostering a culture of adaptability and guiding clients through transitions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of HR policies and procedures, advising on best practices for successful initiatives.
- Engage stakeholders internally and externally to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout projects.
- Conduct research, analysis, and reporting to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement in initiative execution.
- Thrive in a challenging and dynamic setting, building and maintaining strong working relationships across the organization as part of the management team
- Develop an in-depth understanding of their clients' business needs and proactively apply people and culture leadership and practices in the delivery of HR programs and initiatives
- Apply strong problem solving and creative thinking skills
- Use strong facilitation to coach and guide managers in resolving workplace issues to create a positive and respectful employee experience
- Provide expert guidance in performance development, workforce planning and change management
- Be proficient with computer systems, HRIS and/or PeopleSoft, and use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to develop, analyze and present information to clients and management
- Support alignment of People and Culture initiatives with overarching business objectives.
- Demonstrate strong change leadership skills, guiding teams through transitions and fostering a culture of adaptability during organizational transformations.
- Demonstrate project management skills including project planning, execution, managing scope, identification of risks and dependencies.
- Communicate effectively and help in building of strong relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Think analytically, as they must utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making, anticipate challenges, and drive initiatives forward effectively.
- A bachelor's degree with a concentration in human resources or a related discipline
- A minimum of five years of experience as an HR generalist
- Experience in a unionized setting is preferred.
- Operational experience is a required. For the role of Business Inititiatives Partner, we require at-least 2-year experience in applying project and change management methodologies to various projects and initiatives.
- CPHR designation (or working towards completion) is an asset
- For the role of Business Initiatives Partner, Project Management Professional (PMP) or Change Management Certificate is an asset
