As part of TD Wealth Private Wealth Management, Private banking specializes in offering tailored banking solutions and Credit Management to affluent HNW clients. Our Private Bankers support everyday banking transactions, personal credit management. Our Private Bankers support our client's banking needs while connecting them with the right TD specialists to manage their wealth management needs.
Job Description
The Senior Private Banker is accountable for onboarding and managing relationships and providing personalized financial services, with significant focus on complex credit solutions to HNW and UHNW. The role provides our highest value Private Banking clients with day-to-day banking, financial and complex credit solutions. Working closely with other parts of the Bank (Wealth, Retail and Business Banking) to support the financial goals of our clients.
This role offers a white glove service experience to the highest value and sophisticated Private Banking clients, offering them day-to-day banking, financial and complex credit solutions. Working in close partnership with other parts of Wealth and the Bank to support a client's overall financial plans and needs.

Accountabilities
- Acquire new HNW and UHNW clients through internal and external sources with a focus on Commercial Banking clients
- Onboard HNW and UHNW clients & prospects to Private Banking and act as a trusted relationship manager for those introduced to PB from any source.
- Recommend, implement and service of all banking related products and solutions (medium to high complexity credit solutions and cash management). Understand Commercial Banking products and services to support the overall client relationship.
- Stay highly engaged with Credit Solutions Group (CSG) to offer highly complex credit solutions
- Perform in-depth Discovery sessions with clients to understand their goals and objectives and identify franchising opportunities within PWM and other TDBG Channels to increase TD's Share of Wallet
- Understand and interpret the elements of Financial Planning Plans (i.e. advice recommendations)
- Identify referral opportunities and coordinate a team of One TD Partners/Advisors to work collaboratively to execute an integrated plan with the goal of consolidating assets and ensuring TD is the primary Financial Institution for our clients
- Lead, motivate and develop relationships with internal and external business partners/stakeholders to develop productive working relationships
- Maintain an active pipeline of clients referred and establish contact planning practices to drive continued client engagement.
- Participate in the local community by acting as a brand ambassador in support of TDBG charities and initiatives.
- Work closely with key partners in Private Wealth Management, HNW Direct Investing and the broader TD organization to provide clients with integrated HNW solutions.
Educational Requirements
- Undergraduate Degree
- Highly skilled professional with minimum 7-10 years of experience in providing banking and credit services
- Completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Investment Funds in Canada (IFIC) within 3 years of start date
- Completion of the Personal Financial Planner (PFP) or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation within 3 years of start date
Skills You will Require
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit with a proven track record of prospecting and successfully signing new clients
- Strong product knowledge across all asset classes that enable wholesome discussions on various wealth topics (tax planning techniques & structure i.e. holdco, opco, family trust, cross boarder issues etc.)
- Ability to influence relationships and broad network of external advisors
- Proven experience communicating difficult sales concepts; converts information to compelling sales opportunities; influences and gains alignment across increasingly senior stakeholders
- Possess deep knowledge of all Banking Products and credit, cash management, investments and specifically complex credit.
- Proven ability to identify Banking, Wealth and Commercial opportunities for referral and fulfillment with other lines of business.
- Strong knowledge of banking and risk, operations and procedures.
