Overview

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Architecture & Implementation team, the ideal candidate must have expert level architecture design, implementation, support and troubleshooting expertise in the following network\\security solutions and services; Cisco Data Center Solutions including Cisco Nexus, Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco SDA, Cisco WiFi, F5 load balancer, Palo Alto Firewall Solutions , Cloud Expertise including Azure and AWS.

Senior Network Architect is a key technical resource that will be responsible for providing expert level architecture design, implementation, support and troubleshooting of KPMG's corporate network. This person will be a member of a nation-wide team of technical staff focused on architecting, supporting, and maintaining KPMG's network and IT infrastructure.

What you will do
  • Work with KPMG business users and leadership to solution and implement business projects with the focus on network deliverables.
  • Work closely with network support and network security to ensure the network performs optimally and is secure.
  • Able to learn new technical concepts in a short period of time
  • Design technical solutions for complex network
  • Perform network audits and impact assessments for new technologies being implemented
  • Provides thought leadership to operationalize next generation networks throughout all environments
  • Providing technical direction to KPMG ITS leadership around emerging trends and integrating cutting edge technical solutions for products and services
  • Oversees the design and evolution of KPMG's network architecture including developing and architecting creative solutions to drive innovation in support of KPMG's business strategies
  • Drives efforts to optimize network performance by growing and modifying existing networks, leveraging new and emerging technologies in support of application services
  • Drives all process improvement initiatives to identify opportunities for automation and/or reduction in time to deployment
  • Document/Develop operational processes and troubleshooting guides for Network Support and Operations staff
  • Support and train Network Support and Operations resources.
  • Develop both low- and high-level architecture designs
  • Able to provide mentorship and training to others
  • Being able to assist in network troubleshooting activities when required with our network support team

What you bring to the role
  • College Diploma or University Degree in the field of computer science and/or 3-5 years equivalent work experience.
  • Advance Azure certifications such Designing & Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert & Azure Architect Design are beneficial.
  • Industry certifications in networking and security both on-premises and in a multi-cloud environment such as Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, AWS & GCP are beneficial
  • Senior level experience architecting cloud networking solutions in a mutli-cloud environment Azure (Prd & Non-Prd environments), AWS & GCP (Sandbox environment)
  • 3 years' architecture experience providing solutions for Cisco SDWAN, Cisco SD-Access, Cisco DNAC, Cisco ISE, Cisco catalyst/Nexus switches and routers, Cisco WiFi, Cisco VPN Appliances and Cisco Meraki product s
  • Senior level experience with Palo Alto security solutions such as Physical Firewalls, Prisma Access (SaSe), and Panorama
  • Senior level experience with network and application load balancers and application load balancers such as F5
  • Senior level experience architecting and optimizing M365 connectivity including MS Teams enterprise voice and video traffic
  • Senior level experience architecting and securing direct internet connectivity to SaaS\\PaaS services
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed and keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Proficiency in English at a business level is required
This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders nationally in our English speaking provinces while at KPMG.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $140,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
