Building on the success of our procurement services with our customers, our Procurement team at KPMG is looking for a Senior Consultant to continue to grow our procurement practice.
As a Senior Consultant or Manager at KPMG, you will be required to perform a variety of roles and functions, stimulating initiatives while making the most of your versatility and curiosity to learn, in an environment conducive to serving our customers in the best possible way. This position requires a blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and strong interpersonal abilities to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders and be a key member of a high performing team.
The successful candidate will be called upon to collaborate on a variety of consulting mandates to help organizations from various industries optimizing their procurement functions, improve efficiency, and enhance performance. You will be exposed to a variety of mandates covering the full scope of procurement areas - from strategic sourcing, sustainable sourcing and transactional sourcing to supplier performance and relationship management. In all these areas, the future candidate will play a pivotal role and work as part of a team to provide our clients with impactful recommendations, in terms of procurement governance, processes, organization, and technology.

What you will do
In this role, you will contribute to the following types of activities:
- Assess client organizations' performance gaps or opportunities for improvement by recommending procurement leading practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Develop tailored and pragmatic roadmaps, focusing on previously identified monetary, efficiency and/or profit capture gains.
- Support our clients in the development of a target operating model that promotes sound governance, continuous optimization of existing processes, performance-based category management, strong supplier relationship management, within an adapted organizational structure, adequately supported by technology.
- Conduct market analyses to identify procurement trends and industry-specific opportunities.
- Support our clients in the selection, preparation, configuration, and implementation of their procurement system.
- Prepare and present findings, recommendations, and reports to clients and internal stakeholders; facilitate workshops and meetings to drive engagement and collaboration.
- Work across various stakeholder groups up to senior and executive leadership to support all phases of projects.
- Support timely engagement management and ensure on-time, at-budget, high quality delivery of client deliverables.
- Support client pursuits and proposal development with support from Leadership, and work with KPMG leaders to develop thought leadership, white papers and other intellectual assets.
- Grow your coaching and feedback skills through providing day-to-day guidance and mentoring to junior consultants.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or equivalent undergraduate degree combined with relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 3-8 years of experience in c onsulting experience considered a strong asset.
- Experience in procurement and business transformation, whether in terms of performance improvement, process review, drafting of governance documents and/or technology implementation.
- Experience, curiosity and interest in rapidly evolving procurement topics, such as sustainable sourcing, third-party risk management, among others.
- Knowledge of end-to-end procurement solutions (Ivalua, Coupa, SAP Ariba, etc.) would be an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent problem-solving with ability to analyze the complex structure of a company's problems and synthesize findings and conclusions.
- Autonomy and a strong sense of initiative, as well as priority management skills.
- Versatility and easily adaptive to different situations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization.
- High standards of professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
