As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for fieldwork and project delivery, client relationship management, and collaborate on building new or enhancing our existing service offerings. You will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The expected base salary range for this position is $71,500 to $119,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.

What you will do
You will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Designing, implementing, and operationalizing privacy programs.
- Conducting privacy gap and maturity assessments.
- Conducting privacy-by-design reviews for emerging technologies like AI, facial recognition, and surveillance systems.
- Providing regulatory obligation, requirements and actionable insights to businesses and technical teams (across Canada, EU, and USA).
- Assessing the security, privacy, and reliability of digital systems.
- Recommending privacy safeguards and management action plans.
- Developing privacy and information management target operating models.
- Advising on records and information management strategies and solutions.
- Providing data governance, data lifecycle, data protection, data mapping, and inventory management advisory/guidance.
- Implementing and managing data privacy management solutions across modules of, consent orchestration, data discovery & classification, data subject access requests, vendor assessment, records of processing activities and privacy impact assessment.
- Participating in the development and execution of advisory service plans, information risk management strategies, business cases, cost-benefit analysis, and benefits realization deliverables.
- Assisting with business and practice development efforts, proposals, marketing material, internal and external presentations, social engagement efforts, and white paper development.
- A minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant professional work experience.
- Preferably a Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or relevant degree subject, but we welcome people from all subjects if you have a passion for Privacy and Data Protection.
- Understanding and experience with application of principles, frameworks, and methodologies within the context of privacy, security, data protection and information management: GAAP, ISO27701, ISO27001, ITIL, ARMA, AIIM, and DAMA.
- Experience developing reports in a clear, organized structure, catering to a mix of technical, business/managerial, and legal stakeholders.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively.
- A commitment to self-learning, continuous skill, and professional knowledge development.
- Industry relevant certifications from IAPP, ISO, ISACA, or OneTrust would be an asset.
