We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to join our team as a Banking & Capital Markets Senior Consultant. In this role, you will be part of the team that provides strategic consulting and transformation services to our clients in the Capital Markets space.

What you will do
KPMG's Banking & Capital Markets (BCM) Consulting Practice helps clients develop winning strategies to support strategic business objectives, leveraging innovative technology and leading-edge capabilities to both create and capture lasting value.

As a Senior Consultant in the practice at KPMG, you will play a key role in the team delivering client engagements from strategy to execution. You will work with a diverse team of professionals to assist clients in navigating complex Capital Markets issues, enhancing their financial performance, and achieving their strategic objectives.

As a Senior Consultant in our Banking and Capital Markets practice, you will have the opportunity to learn from industry and growing your personal skillset across:
  • Client Engagement
  • Taking accountability for client deliverables by leading workstreams and teams to successful outcomes with a focus on supporting your team, client needs and generating value
  • Working closely with clients and facilitate workshops to understand the business issues and underlying people, process, data and technology
  • Articulating and communicating complex information effectively across written and verbal formats to various audiences
  • Analysis and Solution Development
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of client's business processes, operations and systems
  • Identify opportunities for improvements and provide suitable solutions
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
  • Continuously monitor industry trends, regulatory changes and emerging solutions impacting Banking and Capital Markets
  • Project Delivery
  • Engage with project teams to ensure successful delivery of projects
  • Support development of project plans, and monitor project progress
  • Building your technical and analytical expertise by delivering high quality results on time and proactively identifying and resolving project issues
  • Business Development
  • Supporting client pursuits business development efforts including preparing proposals and leading presentations to senior executives
  • Building long-term business relationships with client personnel through engagements and networking in professional organizations
  • Business Operations
  • Working with senior KPMG leaders to understand, enhance and integrate service offerings across the Operations
  • Identify and implement strategies to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency
  • Acting as a Change Agent to optimize quality, efficiency, cost and customer value
What you bring to the role
  • A university degree in a related discipline (Business, Management, Operations or MBA or an equivalent degree from an accredited university)
  • Understanding of Financial Services/Banking and Capital Markets industry including basic functional knowledge of trading lifecycle, market infrastructure operations, risk and regulatory functions
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the Banking and Capital Markets industry
  • Management Consulting or financial services consulting experience considered a strong advantage
  • A professional designation (such as CA, CGA, CMA, PMP, CMC) is considered an asset, but not essential
  • Working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Front office trading; Post-trade operations; Investment banking; Sell-side banking infrastructure; Risk and Regulatory compliance in Capital Markets; Agile project management; Change Management and communications, Organization design and organization development; Process design and change; Data and analytics leveraging technology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams, as demonstrated by strong internal or client references
  • Demonstrated ability to identify critical drivers of successful client service delivery and the ability to turn client aspirations and ideas into practical reality
  • Demonstrated experience in working with large data sets, drawing insights from data, and possessing a data-driven mindset
  • Passion for delivering high-quality services and achieving client satisfaction
  • A strong understanding of the inter-relationships between people / organization, business processes and enabling technologies as contributors to business effectiveness
