Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Business Planning Analyst for our prevention divisional strategy and operations department.
In this role, you'll provide support for a variety of duties related to strategic and operational activities, planning, analysis, performance, reporting, regulation implementation, and quality management. These duties will be provided to Prevention Services through an assignment of work, primarily to support strategic and operational projects and programs.
How you'll make a difference: You'll help ensure B.C. workers go home safely at the end of their workday.
Where you'll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, you'll work primarily from your B.C. home and occasionally in our Richmond office.

Where you'll work

- Provide support and assistance to directors, managers, and staff in developing business plans
- Define measures and develop and complete divisional and departmental reports
- Apply financial and business planning principles and practices, including result-based management, to maintain a balanced scorecard
- Manage projects as they relate to business and divisional planning and performance measurements
- Analyze data and develop reports for senior leadership
- Apply business process improvement principles including change management
- Gather and analyze information to understand problems and/or opportunities, and develop creative and pragmatic solutions
- Write concise, clear, and grammatically correct business documents to inform or persuade a variety of audiences
- Independently plan, prioritize, and coordinate a diverse set of activities to consistently meet targets in a changing environment
- Lead and monitor multiple projects and project teams to completion
- Prepare, deliver, and defend presentations to a variety of clients

- Facilitate meetings with clients and co-workers
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques
Your background and experience
- A master's degree in a business-related discipline, such as business administration, accounting, economics, policy, law or finance and a minimum of four years of related work experience in business and/or financial analysis
- Or, a bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline, such as business administration, accounting, economics, policy, law or finance, plus a recognized Canadian accounting designation (CPA) and a minimum of four years of related work experience
